dont touch the idle screw. it was set att he factory at that point for a reason. the idle screw should be located on the throttle body near the MAP sensor. look for a single flathead screw.

 

? Did you mean to refer to two different things here, but accidentally referred to the same thing? I'm confused...

 

maybe you should try resetting the ecu and go from there?
because when you reset the ecu, it kinda automatically idles at the right rpms (650-800)

but yea, the screw is near the TB.
why do you want to adjust it?

 

It's not my car, it's actually a buddy's. He wanted to know how to raise it because he said the idle was a bit too low...

 

There's probably 2 different things on the throttle body. There's a mechanical stop for the throttle, and a needle valve which lets air bypass the throttle.

The mechanical stop for the throttle should allow the throttle plate to close completely. It should only prevent it from wedging shut, it shouldn't actually hold it open.

The little idle adjustment screw is probably above the throttle bore, recessed in a hole. There's an adjustment procedure that's probably different for different years/models, so get your hands on a repair manual.

For example, on your '94 GSR you'd unplug the IACV & set 450 rpm. Then reset the ECU. Plug the IACV back in, start & idle for 10 minutes without touching the throttle. The '92 Accord probably has a similar procedure.

 

Same procedure except the idle is set at 550 rpm.
