Default Heated seats - hot enough?

Recently got an '06 Accord Sedan and I'm less than pleased with the heated seats. They do work, but it takes quite awhile before you even feel them and then they never do get really warm. I'm thinking they really won't do much good once the temps really start to drop.

I'm comparing them to the heated seats in my wife's '04 Yukon. There is really no comparison. In fact, come to think of it, I think the seats in my dad's Pilot are quite a bit better as well.

Anyone else have a similar experience? Ya think there is something wrong or is that just the way they are designed?

Thanks!

Todd

i enjoy the heated seats in my 04. when im not wearing heavy clothes like a wool coat, i feel them start to warm up in about 1-2 mins and they keep me warm quite nicely. i do admit that the entire seat itself doesnt heat up, but just enough to keep me from freezing my @$$ off. overall, i think they do well, but like you said, i have experienced better.

Well, I experience down to -40 F or colder so they are important to me.

I get the same thing. The whole seat doesnt get warm but yeah enough so that you can sit on it in peace. It takes about 2 minutes to get warm if I put them on High setting.
I wish Honda makes heated steering wheels too......lol
