Parking slightly uphil and cold start issue(s)?
Hi
I park my Accord and my wife's CRV in the streat which is 20-30 degrees uphil (when parked the cars look as if they are driving uphil).
My question is - since the car is not on the flat surface and presumably engine oil (and in the pan?) slides dow(hill) does this produce more stress/wear on the engine when I start the car(s) cold in the morning?
What prompted me to ask this is that my wife's CRV had to be cranked 3-4 times yesterday morning before starting up (2005 CRV LX 4x4 Auto with only 6,000 miles).
Thx

If you use a carpenter's level & try to measure, I bet it's nowhere near 30 degrees. That would be really really steep.
But anyway, I bet it's OK for oil. When this happened, was the gas tank near empty? That seems like a more likely reason.

Hi Jim,
Tanks was half full so I don't think it was that. But as long as the oil issue is no issue - thats all that matters.
Thx for reply.
