My 1999 Honda Accord, 4 cylinder wont start. The car woould start sometimes and sometimes it wouldn't. I replaced the starter but that didn't help. I just noticed that the D4 light is on while the car is in park (Park and D4 Light on.) Any thoughts.

Is the "P" lite up at all? They do both come on together when you first turn on the key.

If not sounds like you may have a bad gear position switch. Its on the side of the shifter assly under the console

 

D4 is a transmission issue. Any check engine lights on?
