Best Exhaust
'90 honda ex and wanting a catback system-whats the best system i can get for around $200. I would like stainless if possible b/c i'm on a college campus and do short burst driving and don't want this rusting out. Not too particular on the sound but definately dont want any resonation. thanks fella's
Ya, for anything good, you're looking at $350-450+... my OBX was around $450, stainless steel... it's nice, good quality, but ya, $200 wont get you much unless it's used on ebay, and even so, I'd be worried about buying it w/ that price...
hmm, you arent going to get a full cat back exhaust for 200 dollars, not even ebay (ebay is like 220)
my shop quoted me 90 for piping and 40 for a muffler install.
of course, if you can get a used magnaflow or something decent then it might hit under 200 but you are pushing it and the quality is unknown.

I got my exhaust done for like 220. I had a hook-up though at a performance exhaust shop though. I bought an aftermarket exhaust from the shop, the hangers, and a flex pipe, and the owner charged me like 50 bucks for the pipe and intallation, super clean awesome work. The shop that did mine only works on exotic cars.
So unless you know people... or know people that know people... you are not going to get it done too good for less than 200.

Magnaflow is one of the better priced brands. They actually put much R&D into their products.
Brands like "Aerospeed", "Bomz", and "OBX" are more on the budget minded, Pepboys / Autozone shelf warmers.
