Default Which is better?

Ok, ya, ya, I know there's been lot of debates on which is better, boosted F22 or swap H22.

My question is, including a tranny swap (I got an AT), if I wanted HP as well as TQ in the 300-400 range, which would be best and which would be more cost effective in the end?

Thanks!

EDIT: This is for a '97 Accord SE

there is no single answer to this question. An F22 on 8 to 10 psi will probably edge out an h22a swap, with the h22a swap being able to keep up because of gearing and many other factors. An h22a on 8 psi will blow the doors off an f22 on 12 to 14 psi if you go by dyno numbers. A 10 psi f22 usually makes around 200 whp. A full bolt on h22a (and i mean all of them not only including the regular I/H/E but also Intake manifold reprogramed ecu cam gears and also removing the balance shaft, PS, and A/C belts) usually makes about 175 to 185whp. BUT because of how the two make power in completely diffrent ways, the h22a swap will still keep up rather easily(i know from experience). However(and i have dyno sheets to prove this)a properly tuned h22a on 8psi makes almost 300 whp.

But to answer your question, it will be VERY expensive to get 300 all motor horses out of an h22a and not nearly as expensive to get them out of a built and turbocharged f22. To build an h22a is going to cost more than building an f22. But you have more options when tuning the h22a because of the dohc. Its just how far do you want to go.. how much do you want to spend. This is an old argument that has been going on here for years and will probably still go on for years to come.
