Default Rear sway bar for 94 accord?

Anybody with a 5th gen accord use an aftermarket rear sway bar? Im about to get one for my 94 lx, which doesn't even have a stock one, but im not sure whether i should get the progress or suspension techniques one. Ive heard people say that the ST bar will hit stock exhausts, but with the WS 2 exhaust hanging so low it works fine (what my car has). ST or progress?

First make sure you got the mounts for sway bar because the Lx doesn't have them. If the sway bar is mounted nice and tight to rear control arms you shouldn't worry about it hitting anything.

I thought the ST bars came with all the necessary mounting hardware?

Good timing with your question; I just installed a Progress rear sway on my '96 Accord DX yesterday. I got a Progress bar only because I'd seen it recommended in some previous posts. I don't have any experience with ST but the company has a pretty good reputation, at least in BMW circles which I'm more familiar with. I had never heard of Progress until a week ago.

I had previously installed H&R springs, Tokiko shocks, and 16" X 7" wheels with Yokos, so my Accord already handled pretty well. After the bar install last evening I took the car out on a winding road and noticed it's more neutral at the limit. That's when you can feel it working; when you really start pushing it. Pretty much as I expected, and I'm pleased with the results. It seems like a good quality piece.

The Progress kit came complete with all hardware; you just have to drill a total of (4) holes in the crossmember to attach the 2 brackets. My only complaint is that the supplied instructions were not very detailed, and included a few grainy photos that were hard to make out at first. But it's not a very complicated job and you'll figure it out. Good luck!

hows the clearance with the exhaust (im assuming stock)? Do you think with an aftermarket exhaust like WS 2 that hangs low it would still work?

No interference problems with my still-stock exhaust. The bar goes OVER the pipe, so if your aftermarket muffler sits lower than stock you shouldn't have a problem.

i have the progress on my 4th gen accord and drilling the holes were a bitch because that "area" or bar or crossmember is kinda thick for my cheapo 12v cordless drill.

it clears my stock exhaust pretty well and def is worth it.
with some firm sidewall tires up front, you can dive into corners at crazy speeds.

oh...i think there is something to do with the end links....you may need to drill in holes for those as well.
