Hate your 5th gen or earlier clock color?
I sure as hell do! As well as the rest of the dash lighting color... so I did a blue LED conversion on all the switches and will be adding simple reverse glow gauge faces... although the clock is still the same ugly teal-ish color.
I fould a simple solution... using a civic clock (I used a 92-95 clock). What makes the resulting color is simply the plastic "lens" in the clock, the displays inside all produce the same color (except the amber ones I believe). So I swapped the "tinted lens" from the civic clock into my accord clock, replacing the "blue lens". I now have a "white" clock, looks MUCH better with blue lighing on the dash! Its not a direct swap, but still very simple.
Heres the clock before installing it. I'll take some pictures of everything once the car is all back together.

sweet.
what color was the civic clock originally? what color is the lens?
i've been wanting to do this, but i thought the LED display inside the accord clock actually had a green tint, too. i have an integra clock that i could use, but i don't know if it'll work out the same way.

haha, i skipped the DIY cause its actually really simple.
The civic clock is white as it is, but if you take the "lens" off the clock (from inside) you'll see that the actual display is the same color of the accord clock... the greenish-blue color. The lens filters out certain colors and makes the display appear white. All you need is a civic clock (I found the 92-95 civic clock works the best, as the lens is ALMOST a direct swap). If someone wants to send me their accord clock, i'll switch it for free as I have an extra civic clock lens, then i'll write up a DIY as well.
The accord clock has a teal colored lens, where the civic clock has a slightly "smoked" lens.
Its actually a pretty straight forward job, once you open up a clock you'll see how its done.
