Default Genuine Honda spoiler question

I'm thinking about getting a real Honda spoiler for my '02 4dr v6.

I was wondering a car came from the factory with a spoiler option, does it still have the 3rd brake light in the window?

I think it looks weird with a brake light in the window and on the spoiler. I know I could just pull a bulb out. Just want to know how it's "supposed" to look though.

Thanks.

If you install a OEM Honda spoiler, the 3rd brake light in the back window will no longer work because when you install the spoiler, you are unpluging the connector from the third brake light in the window and pluging it into the connector on the wire harness from the spoiler. When I had my windows tinted, I removed the third brake light from the back window before they tinted it, so they tinted the entire back window and now the unused third light is barely visible.

This is how it should look

I tried a mod where both brake light were on, but un did it because it looked stupid with two lights

Thanks for the replies.

I'm really wondering though, if an Accord was ordered from the factory with a spoiler, did it get the 3rd brake light on the rear deck inside the car?

The only bad thing about having the factory spoiler is if you ever need to remove it for some reason, you'll be exposing the probably rusted holes drilled in the trunk to install it and of course someone eventually might try and steal it like someone did mine. But I have it back on now, hehe. BTW, what does the rear deck look like without the third brake light housing?

I'm not sure? I don't even know that it exists. I know that other cars do have different rear decks depending if they had a spoiler from the factory or not.

The rear deck looks terrible without the third brake light in place because there will be a few exposed holes left behind from where the light was.

My dealer told me they could not order an accord with the spoiler, it is always installed at the dealer.

I installed mine on my 05 and my sons. He has the wing, I have the lip. I let the dealer install the '01 wing. I had to remove it the other day because the rubber gasket somenow shifted. I was pissed they did not paint the holes as required in the instructions. I now will have to remove the whole thing, and clean the rust and paint. I will install all my own from now on...and it will be done right.
