I just bought a 02 Accord Ex. I was wondering how affective the security system is on these cars? Does it make it impossible to steal the car without the key?

Also, does anyone know of any "issues" with this model?

first of all, its never impossible to steal a car...theives always can get around any security thing you through at them...if there good enough...

second if its the factory its both passive and agressive which means the horn, lights will be goin off like a carnaval and in addition the fuel pump wont engage...as far as I know. I havent had any problems with mine (factory) yet.

 

Thanks, yes it is a factory system. I was just wondering if anyone has reported a Accord with this system being stolen. I was wonder how it was done.

I have heard that many of the newer cars are almost impossible for thieves to steal. Unless they have the keys or a flatbed truck, they cant get it. The auto engineers have gotten a lot better at security systems.
