hey guys, i have a rattle coming from the exhust under the car, i thought it might be the standard cat heatsheild problem with hondas, so i took it off, still rattles.

sounds likes it either coming from the exhaust piping or cat, anyone have this before and if so what was it for them? or what do u think it could be

 

got the same problem...got it up on a lift, noticed it was hanging on the hangers by only rust!!!! put it back in and resealed everything...still rattles though...any ideas?

 

did you try knocking on the cat to see if it's rotted out? There's a lot of threads covering the exhaust rattle issue. research

 

i did reasearch, and didnt find a answer, i hit the cat and it didnt change.

 

so it's not the cat, and it's not the heat shields.... bump

 

yea its weird i got under the car, while it was on, and it souned like it was coming from that area, i am clueless

 

any small exahust leak will give you a rattle, did you check the whole system, even back by the muffler?
