Default vss

I looked on a form like this and found several that had this problem and a new sensor fixed the problem.I found two sensors down low on the oass. side but the are different than this one.

The speedometer might not start up or it might peg out or start working after a little while, even though when it is working it is not to be trusted.

if your car is a automatic and you don't get a flashing D4 light or a check engine light or just the engine light on a manual I would guess the speedois bad and not the VSS on the trans. the 4th gens had a big problem with the VSS going bad on the trans. on the 5th gen it's usally the speedohead in the cluster that goes bad.
