several year (i think all 5th gen) had this recall for a faulty oil seal. basically this thing just breaks or pops off all the sudden and the car looses sh-tloads of oil all at once. Most people have had the recall fixed, but some still havent

I copped dat $hit last time while was driving, the oil seal must of feel off and when parked my car and returned to it there was a puddle of oil when i drove off... the check oil light came on and i know i was in deep ****!

Cost me $500 to repair at the mechanics.... had to replace the oil seals balance shaft or something and had to get a new timing belt as well...

Then i noticed the recall on the forums so i called up Honda and they gave me a full refund back to me

So basically the car got a new timing belt and new seals for FREE

Better safe than sorry. Oil seals are such a mundane piece of equipment. It amazes me that you can actually screw up the design of one of those. Oh well.
