i blew the head gasket in my 93 accord and im in the process of tearing everything apart. and when i took off the intake manifold i noticed it was chared on the inside and my TB was also, i figured since i was waiting on parts i would clean them up since the burnt crude was hindering the butterfly and also the 4 butterflys in the middle of the intake manifold. i was just wondering if there was anything to worry about while soaking the TB the middle peice is in the sink with some mild detergent after i washed it down with acetone, and it looks good. but i know the TB has the MAP and shit, do i have to worry about any of that?

well, i mixed up some purple power, and acetone and heated it and it worked great with no negitive results... the manifold came out like new and had no grime what so ever, it worked so well we brough my friends integra manifold over and soaked it for a few hours.
