Default Ignition + CD player problem

i got out of work today and go tto my car, but it wouldnt start so i guessed that i must've for got to turn the head lights off or someting. so i asked a co worker to jumpstart my car and it worked but after it turned on the cd player doesnt work and when i turn it on the display says "CODE" and i dk what thats for. so i come home and after a while i was going to the post office, the car didnt turn on i knew this time that the battery is not dead, because allthe lights come on, headlights come on but when its about to start, it makes a cranking nois like the electric motor is loosing power.
so: whats my problem?

cd payer asks for code
engine dosent start the electrick motor lacks power

The code thing is easy...your EX Accord requires a code punched in when the radio looses power...it's a theft deterent thing. So hope you have the code, or you need to get from a dealer, etc.

As for the car not starting...it could be the starter, when it's on it's way out, it'll work sometimes, then not at other times, it'll click, click, click. Bad batteries can also be unpredictable at times. If you can get it started again, you can take it to your local autozone, etc and have the battery and starter tested.

Code from the CD player can be obtained from a dealership.

Start problem seems to be a bad starter or alternator not sure which one.

i would start with the battery and then the starter. have you tried to jump start the car again? if it starts right up when jump started its probably the battery.

When you try to start it does it seem like its out of gas? Just cranks and cranks but won't turn over? This is what was happening to my 99 accord coupe read somewhere it was the main relay switch changed it out and has started fine for a month now.

I've gone through about 3 alternators on my Chevy truck, and my symptoms were the classic ones I had always heard about...lights dimming while driving, volt meter reading way too low, etc.

Unfortunately one started going out when I was about 30 miles away from home...and by the time I got home, the sucker was making a nice racket and putting off some serious heat...came really close to seizing the alt up.
