Default dead serious questions.....

ok my first question is.....will a rear end from say a foxbody mustang fit on my accord wagon? if not anyone know what will?....

and what kind of parts would i need to do say....a v8 swap?...it doesnt seem that difficult just get a rear end...drive shaft(cut and make room for it) tranny motor make custom mounts............for some reason i could so see my car being a rwd v8.....and dont worry about resources my dad owns an automotive shop and my grandpa builds drag cars for a living so i wouldnt have to worry about labor or where to do it.......my grandpa seems to think we can do it.....what do you guys think?...i know your going to say its a waste but i dont think it would...the engine bay seems big enough to fit like a 302....

sure an h22 or whatever would be great but im thinking different...everyone swaps h22's in there accord im out for something different

good luck if you ever plan on gettin your car inspected anytime soon, haha. i thought you had to have an engine from the same maker, along w/ it being the same year or newer.

Dude if you want a RWD car buy a RWD car...you can pick up an old ass 240/280Z for nothing and drop a big ass V8 in.

Anything will fit, if you guys own a body shop you should know that...it will just take an amazing amount of fabrication and man hours.

if you want the car to be streed legal I doubt it. I've seen a 6th gen accord that was turned into a drag car and its got a chevy bigblock and its rearwheel drive. so it can be done, but to get it to be street legal would be an impressive feat. do it up, we'd love to see it.

There are so many problems with modifying a modern FWD platform into a RWD platform that I don't even know where to start. You basically have to rebuild the entire chassis from the ground up.

It would like converting a Carnival cruise ship into an Navy aircraft carrier.

You know if you want somethging that is different then an H22 you could try a S2000 engine. It is made for a RWD car but i think would probably be easier to mount then a 302. JUst a thought

that's looking like quite a job. One, you're going to have to re-run your exhaust somewhere and I dont think a rwd chassis will clear the ground on the accord if it is lowered. Another thing, the motor would probably have to sit inside the cab, LOL. So yeah, great idea but the biggest problems are clearance. My advice, you have a very rare accord wagon. Drop a J32 in it, and call it a day. lower the front about 2.5 inches, back 2 inches, and try not to wheel hop it too much...
