help
i have a 92 honda accord lx 135,000 miles. sometimes when i go to start it, it wont make any attempt and the (d4) signal in the dash will blink. almost like there is no power even though there is.....we have taken it to a shop and everything. i am at a loss. is it a sensor, wire, transmission problem???
When the D4 light blinks it means that one of the sensors in the tranny has detected a malfunction and it puts the tranny in a safe mode or maybe your tranny is dead already.
Do you have a check engine light on? it doesnt start at all or does it starts and dies??? put more details

the transmission in it shifts just fine....after the engine is started. getting it to start is the problem. sometimes it will start and then other times it wont. it tries to start but its almost like something is telling it that it isnt ok to start. i know theres a problem when it doesnt start the very first time. the car is very dependable, when it starts. the starter is fine and so is the transmission. me being female and not a mechanic, im unsure as to what is causing the d4 light to blink and no start. is there a sensor there? that tells it its in park? i love my car and i have never had any other problems with it....i bought it a year ago. has had a tune-up, regular oil changes, regular maintenance and so forth. i change the oil every 3000 miles even though in the book it says 7500. i take care of my cars. i have had so many junkers and have had nothing but good luck with this honda and plan to keep it going till the body rots off, (which they are known for).so any help is appreciated!!! kellie

And seriously, changing your oil every 3k miles is a waste
