Now someone at work told me he read an article saying the Camry, Accord, and Impala, are the top 3 domestic selling sedans.

Now....hes telling me the 7th gen accord is made in america

I believe the parts content stands at 75% domestic and 25% imported. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, as I don't have the exact figures in front of me. The majority of USDM Accords are built from scratch at the assembly plant in Marysville Ohio (which began building Accords in 1982) although a small percentage are still imported from Japan (with VIN numbers that begin with J, instead of 1) in order to meet supply and demand.

Mine was assembled in Mexico. The sales person told me they are made in US, Mexico and Japan.

Actually, Mexco is starting to become a major automotive center. To my knowledge, Honda, Nissan, and some Mercedes-Benz vehicles are built there. There's probablly more.

I had forgotten all about Mexico. I know Honda began sending some Accords over from Mexico for 2003, but I don't know the percentage. Mexican production plants have suffered quality control problems in the past (and that rubbed off on Volkswagen) Hopefully things are different now, especially for the Accord.

Our '05 Accord EX-L 4cyl Auto breaks down like this:

75% US Manu Parts
15% Japan (Transmission)
10% other (looks like mostly Chiner).

Assembled in Marysville, Ohio.
