I have a 1991 Honda Accord Ex. When my car is in park the idling is very loud. How can i solve this problem without taking it to a mechanic. When the car is in N,D, and R the idle is fine. Someone please let me know what I need to do or what do I need to purchase to fix this problem.

 

It is impossible to tell I think. The only sure way to solve this without taking it to mechanic is never to start your car again. I think you should have someone conduct free check on your car and give you a quote for work. You can then post here what the mechanic said was wrong and then maybe some of the members of the forum can tell you how to do this.
