Has anyone used a dealers or for sale by owners add as leverage to get a better deal from another dealer?

 

94 Honda Accord, asking price, 1,000, I bought it for the 1,000 without looking at it. Major body damage, misfiring cylinders, rusted out exhaust. 2 grand and two years later, it's a nice car, reliable and fun. When I bought it, it had 169k miles, it's now running strong with more than 210k miles.

 

1996 EXL 4cyl 55k miles got it in 2001 asking price $9,000 on ebay. went in person to nj and got it for $7000. it was like new when i got it. now has 88kmiles.

 

1996 accord lx 5 speed 4cyl, asking $3300, paid $3000 had 125k miles

 

Buy from an individual. Preferrably some 50-year old woman.

We bought a new 2005 EX-L 4cyl auto in August for $23,000. Sticker was $25,500+ add-ons.

I bought a 1995 EX 4cyl 5spd this week for $3000. It's been wrecked, but not totaled. Needs some repairs (brakes, fuel filter, several oil changes to clean the engine out, windsheild, new tint, radiator flush, trans flush, etc.) to get it where I want it, but it runs great, gets good MPG, and will last a good while I suspect. If gas stays the same, it will still be worth about $3000 5 years from now.

1998 accord 4 cylinder EX coupe(bought the car the month the 6th gen coupes came out), $21K out the door. sticker was 23K.

 

I got my 98 5-Speed Coupe for 5 g's. And it's been completely maintained by honda with records.

Super Clean.

Car was keyed though, not too bad, just the drivers door.

 

just got a 98 4 door askes 6.5k got it for 5.3k 3 weeks ago. has 98k miles +/-
