Default 6gen accord brake spring installer

I'm looking for a place where I can find the 'honda' tool for installing my brake spring on the rear drums of my 99 accord. the part number is: 07LAF-SM40200. I read somewhere that honda will not sell individuals any tools starting with "07" and a few other combinations. savages. See the following links for pictures of the tool:
98-02 shoes
03-07 shoes

I posted the (03-07) link, b/c that is the only one with a part number for the tool. looks to be the same as the 98-02 tool though.

If anyone else has done this with some sort of 'generic' tool, please provide a link or pic. of the tool. THANKS!!!

google San Leondro honda...

you can order any tool you need via the parts list from them.

However, Honda tools can take eons to recieve. You may want to ask your local Honda dealer for a suitable over the shelf tool.

Or ask your local auto tool dealer for a recommendation...

Wow $30, that cheap, I have many a good brake tool that cost more then that.

I honda ball joint tool runs $170.00, I'd buy a $30 tool any day

My OTC caliper spreader costs that much....

I used a screw driver to change drum brakes front and rear on my 68 Dart back in the day. Popped my self in the face once doing that too, I don't recommend doing that. Buy the tool for that price...

Default tru...

I guess I should just stop whining and buy it... better safe than sorry -- I've used the old screwdriver/plier method myself, and it's not pretty. Next time I'll be sure to buy a car with F/R discs... like the new Si!!!!
