Thanks for a great forum and thread.

I jumpered the diag connector on my 90 Accord and the "S" light gave me the following codes.

7 short blinks
8 short blinks

When the light begins flashing, I lose 1st and 4th gear. If I turn the care off and back on, the light will reset, but once it shifts into 2nd, the "S" light starts flashing and no more 1st and 4th.

Can anyone shed some light on these codes and some possible causes?

 

I cant see the pictures for the codes, I get a code 8 or 9, the first blink seemed dim or like half a blink, so wasnt sure to count it.

At first the car runs normally until I get to overdrive and then it downshifts into 4 as the S light starts blinking.

 

For all U Honda fans.... Ive always bought the from Honda the repair manual for
all my different yr Hondas. It is a wealth of info and data and pixs. If even ur not mechanically incline....at least U can be knowledge enough not to be bul*#t and have a idea to diagnostic a problem.
