I own a 02 Accord V6. It has 67K on it and the tranny is starting to slip. When the engine is cold the engine will keep revving before it shifts and then it will shift Hard. I have heard that Honda extended the warranty to 7yrs/75K for 98-01 Accords, but haven't heard anything about the 02's can anyone please help me with warranty info? What are my chances of getting it fixed at no cost to me? Anyone have a phone number or someone I can call that would give me the best chance of getting it done free. I have only owned the car for about 6 months so I don't have all the service records from the 2 previous owners Thanks for any help.

 

The extended warranty only applies to 00-01 accords

some people have been able to get honda to good-will it, or pay for the tranny.
