Default Need help with Hi Flow catalytic

I bought a Hi flow catalytic from Ebay and it said it was for a Honda Accord 96, but when I was taking off the original I noticed it has an O2 sensor and the new one doesn't what do I do? Do I leave the cable disconnected? Is there going to be a problem or something? Please Help.

The best thing you could do, is return the high flow cat or sell it. Unless your stock one is toast or you're pushing huge HP/TQ, a high flow cat isn't really going to help you.

find a nut that will thread onto the O2 sensor and try to mount it to the same place on the new cat and drill a hole and have the nut welded over the hole. you cna also take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld a bung into place

it sounds like that guy sold you a 94-95 cat. because the 96-97 cat. has the o2 bung in it so if it was stated for a 96-97 accord then he misrepresented the item. and should take it back!

That was exactly what happened to my best buddy last year. The 94-95 accord have a collector which the sensor is located at. The cat u bought is for the 94 and 95. the 96-97 accord don't have a collector therefore the sensor is on the cat itself. you can find someone with a 94-95 accord and sell to them or drill a whole on ur cat and put the sensor on. My friend went to a muffler shop and they did the service for $70 which i thought was extremely crazy. He bought a cat for $30. He could have used that $70 + $30 to get a custom pipe done all the way to the muffler from the converter. I have a 94 accord. u can give it to me hbahahaha
