Default Need to code KEY to start engine 2005 honda Accord

I see all over the place to code the remotes to unlock the doors and stuff in for a honda accord but no where does it say to code it to be able to start the engine.

How can do that?

I have a 2005 honda accord EX with factory remote.

thx
mike

In the new honda accords, the key will turn the ignition but will not start the engine. The chip in the key needs to be coded to be able to do that.

The code is 67892.

Go to the dealer, they'll charge you probably $40 to recode your key to your vehicle's ignition. All Accords from 98+ need to have the dealer do this.

you have to take it to either the dealer or a locksmith with the T-code programmer and all the keys you plan to use on that car otherwise it will not be programed into the computer .
