Default Acccod Catalytic Converter

I am looking for Catalytic Converter for Honda Accord with CA emissions. It is not avialable anywhere except dealer which is a rip off as they are asking for 2Gs. Anyidea where this will be available.

Ebay, junkyards, and the dealer. Cats are expensive.

I'm not sure if it would be good for Cali though because I believe they test emissions by actually measuring the pollutants emitted...most states only check to see if you have a CEL or not.

on magnaflow's site they claim that their cats are CARB certified. its a cheaper alternative to getting a new cat, and its worth a shot.

is your cat. bad ? i'm assuming you have a 6th gen as those ones the cats are 2g because california cars are ULEV on the 2.3L ,if the car can pass the the sniffer but fail because of the of the check engine light ,i've seen people use the fouler plug trick..what you use is the sparkplug antifoul adapter just pick one up at a autozone ,kragen etc. pull the o2 off the cat. cut the fouler plug to clear the o2 and mount it to the cat. and reset the light . what it does is rectricts the air to the o2 so the computer thinks the cat. is doing it's job

thats what they told us when we tryed to order a aftermarket cat. for a 98+ accord when he heard california, it was sorry we cannot sell to california because it's not allowed on OBD2 cars there . but are fine to sell in other states.
