Default Honda Accord - MAINT REQD light reset

In order to turn off this light, perform following steps:

1. Turn off engine
2. Press down on trip/temp change button on console
3. Turn engine key to ON position (II)
4. Hold reset button for 10 seconds or until MAINT REQD light goes off

Hi Michael, I am in STL as well. My problem: maintenance light is on. It was flashing for about a week just after I start the car together with the SRS light. They would flash for about 7-10 seconds after the starter check lights on dash board were off. I guess I have to pull the code out do I, or does someone know what this means right away?

:screwy: Are you kidding me? He just posted how to shut it off. Which is the same information that has been posted here a million times. It's your owners manual as well.

Nothing is wrong...it's a timed event to remind you to keep up with scheduled maintainence.

Yuppiiii correct.
My friend had '90 accord and had his SRS and Maint light come on. He ended up replacing transmission positioning computer and the speed sensor. But if nothing is wrong then I will follow to reset it.
