Default Accord LX with ABS??

I am looking at 99-00 accords. Anyone know if the Accord Lx with ABS was common? did they make quite a few of them? I heard ABS was optional for the LX but, from what i see, they dident make many.

That would be in a four-cylinder not the V-6

Like I said in the other post, most folks purchasing the LX didn't pay for the ABS, else if they did it made more sense just to buy an EX model.

If you are looking used, why are you not also looking at the '00 Special Edition and the EX models?

A buddy of mine in NE Ohio in the past was also looking for an LX w. ABS, I'm sure it is by no means a rare car, Accords are a dime a dozen. But the non-ABS LX is just so much easier to find.

If ABS is your big ticket need, open up your search to '01-'02 Models and the EX line of cars. In the used market the price can not be that huge a difference since used prices tend to eb and flow based on sellers preferences and mileage.

Thanks, I was looking at a Lx for cost reasons. The only EX's I found were v-6 with leather and it was more bells and whistles than I needed.

I have seen LX's with ABS but I think Honda made very few of them

EX non-V6 cars are not rare at all, just keep looking open up your year range, they made these buggers from 98-02, I tend to put more value on lower milage then year. I'd take a 98 over a '00 anyday if the milage was lower by a good bit.

I don't get why people buy LXs when you could probably find an EX with slightly more miles or the same miles but a year or two older for the same.

I dunno why you're not finding EXs or LXs with ABS, are you looking on places like cars.com, autotrader.com, etc?

Yes I am, I've always wished that I had bought an EX. I didn't know anything about cars and had no idea I'd want its features so much in the years and tens (and tens and tens) of thousands of miles to come. Wanna trade?

I have looked at EX's but they are at least 2-3k more than a LX of the same year. almost all the EX's are v-6 with leather.

I have looked at Traderonline.com and Cars.com
I dont want a coupe, just a four door, four cylinder.

I found ton's of SE's and alot more EX's then LX's in minutes on autotrader picking the zip code of Cincinnati out of the air, what is your zip.

$8000-10000 will get you an EX or SE easy................

SE = LX with alloys, ABS, Automatic and some goodies.
This is not a hard car to search, it's only the 1st or 2nd most popular car in NA it doesn't get much easier. What is your price cap, haggle $1000 off on a used car is nothing......
