My 98 Accord just threw code 8: "CKP/TDC Sensor Bad or Disconnected"

I was told that if this was bad, the car wouldn't run. Is this true? Any ideas on what to do?

Well the sensor is pretty important...I don't see why your car would run with it, the firing of the injectors would be all off. But a lot of times these codes appear and are caused by other things.

post it in my DTC thread and I'll post the troubleshooting method Monday if noone else knows.
