Default speaker sizes for '94 accord LX

what size speakers are in the '94 Accord LX? Just wondering because I have some Infinity 6002i 6.5" speakers that I have lying around and was thinking about putting in the rear deck but I'm not sure if they will fit or not.

The rear deck is 6x9" and the front is 6.5", you can install the infinity 6002i on the front doors, it's very easy and simple. Here's my 2 cents, dont ever install speakers on a toyota camry or corrolla, you will get mad at some point and want to quit! hehehe

Hey, I see that you have the Apexi WS catback? How do you like it? Noisy?

you can fit 6.5 in the front and a few size smaller as well.

Actually the 94 LX model has 6.5 in the front, and 6.5 in the back. The rears use a metal bracket that are the same size as a 6x9 speaker except it has a 6.5 inch hole in it. When replacing my rears I scrapped the metal brackets and went to home depot to get some particle board and made my own 6x9 bracket.

anybody know if the Infinity Reference 6002i 6.5" speakers will fit in the doors or rear deck for sure? Because these speakers are deeper than most, they don't fit in all 6.5" applications. I checked on crutchfield but they don't sell 6002i's anymore. If anyone knows that these will fit without a lot of trouble, please let me know. Thanks.

The stock speakers in the door are mounted in a little plastic "basket" looking thing. You will have to use a saw and cut the back of it off since the magnet on the infinity's won't fit in it.

I installed Oz Audio 6.5's in my doors, they are DEEP, after I removed the plastic basket,(BTW:use a sheet of plastic behind the speaker to keep it dry!) I used a piece of 3/4in particle board like smackdown said, to space it away from the window. If the 3/4 in isn't enough, make another 1/4in to stack it out, (or you can space the window track back, but that's a little more difficult). The rear deck is simple, take the three 10mm bolts from the top, after removing the 3 philips screws from the trunk underneath the speaker. Trace the metal plate onto a piece of 1/4in particle board and cut whatever hole ya want.

You can find out for sure by visiting crutchfield.com.
They have the "what fits my car" section that tells you, well,
what fits!
