Default eBrake light on dash 02 accord

hey guys. My eBrake light doesnt turn on anymore.
All my other lights are working with the exception of that one.
Im able to pull up the ebrake and that works.
Could it be the sensor or something? Is there a fuse for that bulb?
If so, can anyone tell me which one it is.

Thanks,

Does it light up when you first turn the key?

The hand brake is mechanically actuated via two steel cables. It would have nothing to do with the fluid level.

I don't have an e-brake light, its a brake light. I had some issues with my caliper failing and the brake light went on. the fluid level went down and I had to keep adding brake fluid. so it doesn't hurt to check fluid levels.

There's actually a TSB for this:

April 28, 1998

Applies To: 1998 Accord - 2-door L4 thru VIN 1HGCG3...WA000039
- 2-door V6 thru VIN 1HGCG2.. .WA008389
- 4-door L4 thru VIN 1HGC...WA071280
- 4-door V6 thru VIN 1HGCG1...WA016316

Brake System Indicator Stays On

SYMPTOM

The brake system indicator does not go off after the vehicle is started and the parking brake lever is released.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The brake master cylinder reservoir cap float is saturated with brake fluid.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace the brake master cylinder reservoir cap float with the one listed under PARTS INFORMATION

that happend once before. I needed to add some fluid to it.

I dont recall the light even turning on when i start up the car.
This past weekend my SRS light stayed on.

So I reset the light to see if it turns on again. If it did I would of taken it to the dealer.

could it be that I blew that bulb?
all other lights come on and then turn off after the system check. but the ebrake light doesnt show up.

my brakes feel fine, ebrake is working so im just thinking the bulb might of went.

the brake light should turn on when the car is turned on before starting the engine.

Looks like the bulb is shot :dunno:

Take out the pod and try switching the bulb, then go from there.

Haha my brake light came on twice on my morning commute today for about 2-3 minutes after I braked to a stop...nevermind what I said before.

My right front caliper was sticking several weeks back and I never addressed it. I guess I'll buy some caliper rebuild kits and get to work on all four...
