Default Total cost of engine swap

Would it be worth it to throw a prelude type sh engine into a 2000 lx accord 4cyl? What are some negative effects of that? and What are the positive effects? would it be slower because of the size of the accord? Do i have to make changes to everything? how much would everything cost?

well it's not really going to make your car 'fast'...it's just a better base for future mods. If you want a fast car, buy a fast car or be prepared to spend thousands modifying your own.

yeah i agree with 98coupev6. With the money you would spend on the engine swap, why not just buy the Prelude or any other car you want. It is not cheap for a complete engine swap, but if you still want the swap, it's gonna cost you... To answer your question, most obvious positive effect will be the power gain. Even though it will be faster than your current stock accord, but it will still be slower than a stock accord. With all other factors being equal, the weight difference plays a huge role in the performance. So if you want a faster car, just get the Prelude. Of course, this decision is still up to you.
