I know the title is weird. Okay anyways if you read some of my other posts, you may know that I want to put Pontiac Grand Prix GXP V8 mufflers on my Accord. I was doing some more research today (crawling under cars) at work and I noticed that the Grand Prix muffler tip is like a Y pipe. It has the Dual exhaust tips on one end and then it merges into one pipe where it is welded to the muffler. Is it possible to buy just the tip and if not, can I buy the whole muffler cut off the tip and weld it on the Honda Muffler or do I have to use the whole muffler (which would be easier)? I hope this makes sense... I will try to get some pictures at work tomorrow. Thanks for any help!

 

Either one would probably work, but the tip would probably be easier. Based on that other pic you attached, the tips looked pretty long. So if you attach the tip to your stock muffler, it may end up sticking out further than you want. But I dunno...you'd have to measure it. Same with the muffler. You are in a better position to find this out than us...unless someone here also has a access to this car like you do.
