Default that's right, im gonna do it...

well, found out today full 5speed tranny swap for my 00 accord EX 4 door (pictured below) parts, labor, and all will run me 1700 bucks. i have to have a shortshifter, type R boot and knob for it (cant live without those) i'm also thinking about a lightened flywheel while they've got the thing out. anybody have any experiences with flywheels? which are best? where to buy cheap? where can i find a short shifter for it? will a prelude shortshifter work? tryin not to spend too much money on this tho, because im buying an EVO IX in a couple months when they are released. lemme know if u guys have any helpful info...peacE

fidanza flywheels are good, not so sure about the short shifter though.

remember to get a stage one clutch to match the lightened flywheel.

1st off, fastening is not now, nor has it ever been a word... 2nd, like ol boy said, i autocross in the car, i need a 5 speed. (although with the auto i'm undefeated so far ) and get it out of your mind that accords are slow. they are slow drag cars because they're NOT DRAG CARS. set them up right and they are fast road race/autoX cars. im buying a FAST car in a couple months. i'm getting an 06 EVO IX MR when they are released. i just want a 5 speed in my accord. my civic Si and integra are both 5 speeds. i want all the cars to have manual trannies... next year around this time tho, i'm planning to swap a K24 and 6speed into the accord, then a comptech supercharger. then we'll see about the accord being slow.

well, good luck with all plans now

there is no short shifter avaliable for the 6th gen accord. you can get a short shift adapter though and cut your shifter down. that should help. I'd recommend getting the ebay adapter, its cheap and does the same exact thing as its expensive counterparts. I've got the DC sports short shift adapter. only reason I have it, is someone gave it to me for free.(the guy totaled his accord and was taking all his aftermarket stuff off his car.)

the adapter I mentioned will make the throws shorter, but its not a true short shifter.
