Depending on what state you lve in i asume. If its California ,,,,no smoke lenses are leagal. I got a ticket for covers here one time on my 5.0. I'm not sure of other states

Well, most states dont allow smoked or obstructed lights. Anything that alters from DOT approved equipment is not god. gives a reason for the cop to pull you over. just my $.02

a friend of mine got a fix-it-ticket on his 2000 SS for his black tailights and headlights covers so he put the stock ones back on and bought some really light tinting film and tinted his tailights and headlights. it came out looking pretty nice and it looks like he has black housing headlights now. the taillights look like they have been professionally smoked but its just hella light ass tinting film. the headlights and tailights shine through well at night. u should try it.
