I have the same problem, last year there was a loud grinding coming from the antenna but it still moved. Now it just makes a 'whirring' sound and does not move at all. Seems the power antena motor is OK but a gear has finally moved off track or been ground down to nothing.

At least mine is stuck in the up position.....so it doesn't really bother me...

I have heard of people replacing this motor, or just buying a rear window antenna as a replacement.

You can buy a new rope (plastic gear rope ) for it at any good autoparts. I had the same problem and it was the plastic rope thing that was broke. It moves the antenna up and down.

Just bought a 94 accord and noticed it doesn't even have a visible antenna... but yet the other accords I see on the road do.. What gives? Is it possible the previous owner did some modifications?

It might be in the windshield if there is no visible hole
