Default 6th Gen Accord tranny swap?

Always looking for something...is it possible to swap out the auto tranny in a 6th gen for a manual? Did Honda ever make one for the 6th gen Accord 3.0l engine? Perhaps it is a stupid question but it is rather late.

No, there wasn't a manual tranny for 6th gen V6's. Seems like the guys that do this usually use the latest CL-S 6speed tranny. Anything is possible, but you'll have to decide if it's worth it after researching.

It's easy to say just sell your car take the money you would have spent on the swap and buy a 7th gen V6 6-speed. More power, newer car, better reliability and retail.

it's easier, but its a whack car. if you're gonna get a new car with a 6speed make it a TSX, TL, or RSX-S. i'd rather swap then sell. 6th gens are way better than 7th gens

I had a RSX S type when they first came out, wife could still fit in it. Not much for mods out at the time, had Comptech catback (too loud and tinny for my taste), AEM cold air intake (took me all day to put in), H&R springs. But it could move, loved that 6 speed. Wife got too big, could not compete with my baby...traded it for A6 Bi-turbo...have you ever taken a 30mph turn at 80mph on an elephant that moved like a cheeta? That's how the A6 felt, heavy but controlled and wicked fast (burned through my conti contacts in about 10,000 miles).
I like my 6th gen accord, do not care for the 7th gen body style (looks like the old Accura CLs) or interior.
If anyone comes up with a place that can do this swap let me know.

I know there is a guy over on V6.net that did that swap. it was pretty involved, but he did it himself. I'd recommend doing a search over there and talking to the guy that did the swap.

The only realistic swap is 6 speed and CL-S engine. Mating the CL-S 6 speed to the J30A1 is a bitch and requires a ton of fabrication.

H22 doesn't have a lot of trouble fitting. It's not bolton, but it may be cheaper in the end than the CL-S/6spd swap.
