Default Is it possible to get more power by swapping lx ecu for an ex

Hello guys.

I've searched and came up with nothing. I know the ex puts out more power. Is some of that ecu related? Or does the additional horses come from different cam profiles, intake or exhaust differences. I have a 1991 lx accord, automatic with header exhaust. It would be great if I could put the ex brain in my car and get say an additional five horses. Wishful thinking?

Please leave the ECU originally designed for your vehicle in your vehicle. I doubt it will do anything and they're probably the exact same ECU. I'm not all that familiar with that gen Accord but it doesn't seem likely that they'd be different. There are many ways to add small amounts of horsepower.

ive heard (but dont know if it is true or not) that if you put in a 92-93 EX ECU (PT6) that it takes off the speed limiter...
