i put in my car for the configuration just to get a list.
I had akebono ceramic pads on my truck. no brake dust no squealing no vibration and excellant stopping ability.
this type of ceramic pad does not increase wear on your rotors. they are 100% cermaic but of a slightly softer compound than rally ceramic brakes which require you to use ceramic rotors.
I had 50000 mile on them when I sold my truck(2004 dodge ram with hemi) I towed with them and did alot of hard braking stopping was never an issue. IMHO these are the best brake pads made whereby you do not need to change the rotors.
when I say no brake dust I mean I did not clean my rims from november to march(to coold up here in RI) and the front and rear rims were brake dust free. I paid 90 dollars for the front set on my truck the ones for honda's are much less around 50. give them a try. call tirerack and ask there opinion they also sell many other brands.

I have used aem, which are nice, less dust than the axxiss, which work ok as well. Now I use Hawk pads on brembo slotted rotors with some braided break lines. Much better than aem's on power slots or power stops. So I say Hawk pads and brembo rotors.

Also anyone using EBC rotors?
I've had EBC green stuff pads on in the past, they stopped ok but had a lot of black dirty brake dust. You would see build up in a day.
The OE pads were OK and had the least dust.
I now run Hawk HPS street pads, they offer minimal dust but a huge bite increase over the OE or EBC pads for my money. I like them the best, they do dust some, but it takes a bit of time and unlike the EBC's the dust is grey vs. black it doesn't look bad on the rims for my taste.
I have AEM pads on the rear wear is good but I can't tell any improvement vs. OE with them. I will switch the rears to Hawks when they need replaceds.

Anyone running powerslot rotors? I thought I had decided on brembo blanks...but I keep fighting myself on wether i want a more aggressive look... does this seem like a good deal:

looks like a good setup.. the only reason why i got the powerslots (rear only) was because someone sold it to me for less than what i would have paid for blanks. they're pretty good. i looked and they're essentially brembo blanks that have been slotted and coated by powerslot to prevent rust. i've run or tried a few pads..
-axxis metalmasters: sucks.. squeal, excessive brake dust, ugly brown brake dust.
-ebc: so so.. strong bite
-aem/nissin: IMO the best pads for non-abs cars. great range of braking input
-axxis ultimates: great if you're using race tires and need a strong bite. decent for street applications too (if you have abs). comes with a dynamat material adhered to the back of the pad already to prevent squeal. NOT recommended for vehicles with no-abs.

j/k....they do make noise especially under light braking. Very annoying after a while. Im using those now on cross drilled slotted brembos.
I know Axis makes another pad that doesnt have any squeel to it. Ill find out which ones.. I think its the ultimate or something like that.
