Default 05 6spd weird clutch

Well I went to do a smoke show and the car acted weird

I had the TCS(traction control system) off.

The tires spun then I shifted to 2nd and let the clutch out. It would not engage the gear and the car did not lurch forward and the engine was revving.
so i Put the clutch in releasing the accelerator shifted to 3rd and released the clutch while depressing(all the way to the floor) and the same thing happened the engine revved but the car did not go faster.

any ideas. Some other built in safety device?

It almost seemd like the rims were spinning inside the tires. Is that possible on this car?. I have had it happen at the track with other cars but never with anything stock.

It was almost like the transmission did not engage the gear but the shifter was clearly all the way into gear.

It's possible that Honda has designed the ABS system to apply the brakes or cut the ignition if the front wheels exceed the speed of the rear wheels by more than 30mph.

Please give more detail. Was the parking brake on? IF you do this often, which I suspect you do, maybe the cluthch overheated and was slipping.

IF you drive it like a race car, be prepared to replace certain parts such as tires, clutches, and brakes as frequently as racers do.

Could be wrong but I think your clutch was slipping really bad and depending on if you car moves now, you may have toasted your clutch

it is possible the clutch was slipping. the car is brand new and continues to run fine no further slipping or other sysmptoms.

the clutch on this car is strange anyway. I jave driven alot of sticks but this thing is real jerky in first. it also catches very high in the pedal which is good and bad.

it hasnt done it again. but to answer your replay. the e-brake was off the car has 1200 miles on it. it is possible there is an additional safety mechanism like you mentioned related to front and rear tire speed dirential unrelated to the traction control I'll call my dealer to find out.

does anyone here have a downloadable pdf for the 05 6speed accord v6 complete repair manual from honda?

if so I would really appreciate a copy thx
