Default D4 Blinking Problem 98 Accord

I have a 98 accord and i'm wanting to know what does this D4 blinking means? it rides well but then it looses power and then it starts to blink D4. On a stop light i turn it off and then it reset it self. is it something that i can do it myself?help

Sorry to say it, but that's the transmission failure indicator.

It means it's time to search ebay for a new tranny. You're screwed.

Not necessarily. Sometimes things like crank sensor circuit failure can cause the D4 to flash. What you need to do is retrieve the trouble code, first.
