Default Will different tires fit my Accord???

I have a quick question about tires. I own a 02 Accord EX V6 Coupe with factory wheels. I know the stock tire size is 205/60/16. I was wondering if a 205/50/16 tire would fit. Thanks for any help!

Yes, but you would have way too much wheel well gap. Google "tire size calculator" or something similiar. Generally, if you want a lower profile tire you need bigger diameter wheels to keep your overall wheel/tire combo about the same size. You can fudge it a little by increasing to say a 215 or 225 width (215/60/16 or 225/60/16) depending on the wheel width and suspension, but by doing that you're back to a taller profile again. Confused yet? A 215/55/16 might work.

I think the size you have is really optimal.

I once ran 225/50/16 summer tires and they looked and handled very nicely.

Interesting...did you have much tire bulge on those factory wheels? I'd like to see a pic of how it looked on your car. Did you get any tire rub? I once bolted on a 205/50/16 I had laying around and didn't like it at all.

225/60/16 is the wrong size. 225/55/16 (the closest to stock size wize), 215/55/16, 215/60/16 are the right ones for 16" wheel. Here is the site to calculate proper tire size.

Nope, no tire bulge at all. They stuck out a bit on the fender wells though. Let me know if you want a differently angled pic, I have tons. That was about 80k miles ago h:

Those bishes stuck like chewing gum too. Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, grippiest tire I've ever driven on (including Potenza S-03, Dunlop SP9000, Yoko ES100).
