Hey does anyone know how to make my guage light up Red when the lights are turned on.

 

what year is your accord (i'm assuming you drive an accord, since this is the accord forum)?

 

I own a 96 accord Ex Automatic

 

it'll be pretty hard, and you can screw up pretty easily. the green color is created by blue paint on the gauges themselves + yellow light bulbs. if you want a red color, you'll have to remove the blue paint, and replace the bulbs with some kind of red lighting souce. if you *really* want to try to do it, i can tell you all that i know. i've been working on making the A/C controls white, but haven't had time to finish them yet.

 

sounds too risky especially because im new to car moding so i dont think ill even mess around with the gauges at all. i dont want to regret doing this.

 

You can change the yellow bulb to red and get it to light up purple. or use a frosted bulb to get them to be blue.

 

you can purchase leds that can make the guages red when u turn on your lights(same ones as www.ledautomotive.com). i have some if u want to buy some

 

there's blue paint on the gauges themselves. the LED mod works if you want to have blue lighting, but if you want any other color you have to remove the paint first.
