i am getting a weird shake coming from the motor somewhere, especially when I am 3rd to 4th at high rpms. I know for sure it has nothing to do with supsension, it is fine in 1,2 and 5th gears. possibly a clutch? The shake does get rather loud at times. I am sure it is coming from the motor? could it possibly be a motor mount? but then again it would shake at all times then.

You can tell a bad motor mount by looking at the engine while someone blips the gas from idle while in park. You can also feel the slight clunk when you blip the gas from idle while either driving or in park. Depending on the mileage it could be also be an engine bearing. Hard to say over the internet with limited information.

 

engine bearing? 1997 accord 5 speed, when I am shifting into 3rd or 4th gear at high rpms, i feel the motor shaking rather loud. but in 5th gear it is ok.?
