I have a 90 honda accord with a stuck door . tried almost everything i could to open it . played with the door handles ,lock ,took the door panel off with the door closed ( not an easy task ) everything look like it's in order. i'm guessing it's a stuck actuator . not a problem right ? my problem is i have to open the door . anybody know how i can open my door ?? please help

 

Was the door in the 'locked' position before it got stuck(not implying that door is simply locked, but perhaps the lock lever is stuck or broke)..? Can you move the lock button/lever ? What door is it? Child safety lock

 

im not sure if it was in the " locked position " when it stoped working . but the lock lever does go up and down and it's the driver door

 

You can't open the door from the outside as well? If you can open the door from the outside, it sounds like the inside door handle rod is damaged or the inside door hande. The inside door hande is cheap, hopefully this is the problem.

 

sounds like your latch is bad....your going to have to drill it to get it open and replace the latch assenbly ...a pain in the butt!

 

yeah i cant open it from the inside or outsaide ..

 

when you say latch do you mean the actuator ??

 

the latch is bad what happens is the pin to the latch is broken.

thanks a whole lot COUSIN IT that worked perfectly ... got the door open went to the wrecking yard found an Accord ( 2 door ) mine is a 4 door and later found out that the door latch is the same but the rods are diffrent ,and the rods are riveted on so no way to swap them .. so now i know thanks though i would have never figured out how to open my door
