How do I install a wiper motor?
Hello, everyone,
I am a new member of this forum. I just got it from a used autoparts store. when I opened the hood, I was totally screwed up: I found nothing is similar in shape with the wiper motor I bought.
Can somebody help me to figur out how to install it? My car is 1996 Honda Accord LX.
Thanks very much!

I recommend getting the right motor. Before connecting the wiper linkage to the motor shaft, plug the motor in and turn the wiper switch on, let the motor cycle completely and come to a rest, then turn the switch off. I have seen a few times where someone installed the motor when the motor was wasnt reset, connected the linkage, turned on the switch and the wipers swept all the way down the hood, bent the arms and scraped the crap out of the car.
After reading the first post again I'm going to assume the location is the question. Between the windshield and the hood there is a grill looking thing that the wiper arms stick out of. Unless I'm mistaken its under that. The grill ( cowling ) will have to be removed. Then the wiper motor and linkage will be exposed.
