Default Cold Air Intake Help

I have a 03 Accord EX V6 and I want to Install a cold air intake in it.
First, Will it void the warranty or if anyone had a warranty problem with an Intake?
Second, whats the difference between short Pipe and Long pipe Intakes cause I have seen some cars with a short pipe where you can see the filter and some with long pipes and the filter is like at the bottom
Which one should I use.
Thanks

yes, any mods to the engine will void warranty, but if u ever have any work done just take it off and ur good to go..the diff between sri (short ram intake) and cai (cold air intake) is sri the cone is shown on top, usually cai gives you a TAD bit more hp/torque but barely noticeable really.. if it rains a lot and streets are flooded, go with sri or cai but with a bypass valve (aem sells em)... cai is great for cold cause the colder the air, well the better and more gain you'll get... i got sri in my honda and a cai in my sebring

go with an AEM V2 CAI...for that car they make extremely good gains...check out AEM's website for the dyno charts. short ram intakes work better on some cars than others, but not on the 03 AV6. that engine responds extremely well to the V2 as well as other mods. http://www.aempower.com/product_intake_app.asp oh, and dont be scared of the prices listed on the site haha you can find the V2 for hundreds less than what AEM lists it for

Don't waste your money on a V2 intake. Intakes are intakes. Ebay ones with K&N filters will perform just as well as the V2 for $150 less.

If you are so worried about the warranty, keep the stock airbox around and swap it back in if there are any problems with the car.

mybad, didn't see the warranty part...intakes wont void the warranty unless the intake breaks something. but if something breaks and has nothing to do with the intake it won't void the warranty...and ebay intakes are worthless...you might as well just burn the money if you're going to buy one of those especially for the engine you have

OK, so it is worth $200 to pick up an extra horsepower or two with the V2 over the ebay intake?

Sorry to tell you, but intakes don't do shit. They just make it louder than stock and the minimal horsepower gains obtained are merely psychosomatic.

Can you tell me why an AEM V2 or CAI is better than an ebay intake? If you change the filter to a K&N, what is the difference besides price and CARB legality?

I used to have a 97 Cavalier 2.4 and I installed an ebay SRI intake on it, It was a huge difference in Pickup and Gas mileage, but I changed the spark plugs on it as well. I know what an intake does and doesnt but my question was which one is better CAI or SRI and the warranty part.
I really appreciate everybody helping me out here.
