Default iPod in a 2005 TSX

is it possible for one to connect an iPod unit into a TSX with Navigation?

one of the buttons on the dash says CD/AUX
1010101010100101101001001011010(((XM)))

is there an auxilary input for audio or does the XM reciever now fill that spot?

has anyone done this successfully? and no i don't want to play it through the FM frequency.

Thanks in advance.

there is probably a way. if there isn't an aux input, there's probably an input for a CD changer. there are boxes you can buy to connect an ipod to the CD changer port on many OEM and aftermarket car stereos, but the only ones i've seen were pretty pricey.

the car already has a 6disc changer in the dash.

but how much do these boxes run if this is the case?

i'm guessing you won't be able to use it if you already have a CD changer installed. unless the stock stereo has another aux input, you're screwed. but maybe you should goto a car audio shop and talk to them. they might know better

6 in-dash? Should work fine! As long as it is not a consol/trunk changer, the AUX thing works. $100, look for SoundGate SNHOND03.

Easiest thing to do would be to buy an 'Itrip' for the ipod. It's a small unit that plugs into the top of on Ipod and used the FM radio to broadcast. They work pretty good. You can get them at mac.com

look into denison icelink plus. They make a interface for iPod that uses factory controls, like in BMW. I think it might disable the changer though...which should be fine cause I rarely use my changer anymore since doing the cointray dock mod.
