Default HELP, 6 gen seat is killing my back

I recently purchased a '98 Accord LX, and the seat is killing my back after just 4 days of owning it. I am 6'4" 225 lbs. I'm not sure if it's the lack of lumbar adjustment or that the top of the seat is narrower than my shoulders. I'm willing to go to a salvage yard and buy a better seat, even if it doesn't match...I can always swap again if I sell the car. Does anyone know what seats might this car, or have any other options for me? Will Acura seats fit without much hassle????

Thanks a million! This is my first Honda, and may be my last if I can't do something about this.

Not sure if the EX's had different seat adjustments in the 6th gen, worth finding out.

Someone a couple months ago posted they installed seats out
of 00 Acura TL with very little mods.
I have the same car, and I'm the same size(little heavier) but my
car has aftermarket leather installed by first owner, I personally
find it comfortable. Leather be the differences?

I have a 99LX, but with 01-02 OEM EX-V6 leather seats, the driver is 8way adjustable with lumbar adjustment, it'll bolt right in, but you'll have to wire it. If you decide to do this let me know and I can help explain the details if you need.

Thanks, that's kind of what I was thinking. I was going to look at a leather car of the last year of this generation, and see if I like the seats any better. If so, then I'd head to the salvage yards. Mine doesn't have power seats now, so I would definately take you up on the wiring help.

Thanks for the answers so far, I knew I couldn't be the only one with this problem.

I didn't asked before, is this a 2 or 4 door?

Well, I'm 6'4" and weigh 245lbs. and my seats feel fine. But I have an 00' EX though. Maybe the seats in the EX are different.

My lower back on my right side hurts after about 20 minutes of driving. I don't know if it's the seat or how I have it positioned, but on long trips I have to get out a lot and stretch and even then it still hurts. I have a 99 Accord EX 4cyl with the power adjustment for up and down in cloth and the 8 way power seat with leather on my 02 EX V6 and both seats hurt my back, but I can drive around all day long sitting on this seat and be perfectly fine.

I'm ready to go...picked up a power seat from an '01 Accord today. The salvage yard also cut the wiring plug off the totalled car. So I have the plug that came from the car that the seat came from, but where do I wire it in? I was hoping that maybe I could find something under the carpet to patch these wires to, but nothing is obvious. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
