I have just purchased a 2001 Accord LX V6 4dr and it came with the standard remotes (I am assuming this). I don't have the owners manual and I have some questions/problems

1. There are 4 buttons on each remote, LOCK, UNLOCK, * and #. What can the * and # buttons do ? (right now they don't do anything making me look like an idiot randomly pressing buttons in my driveway)

2. The horn beeps when I lock the car i find this very annoying (it's would be ok if it beeped on the second press of the remote), anyone know how to change this ?

3. When i open the car all doors are opened, is it possible to open only the driver side on the first press of the remote then the other doors on the second press of the remote ?

4. Is there a trunk release setup ?

If the remote doesn't look similar to the one pic'd below that it's not a genuine Honda remote. Are there any model #s on the back of your remote? If you register your VIN # on Honda's owner site www.ahm-ownerlink.com
you will have access to an online 2001 Accord owners manual that is in pdf. This might help with other questions you might have. Good Luck
